REDEFINING ESQUIRE is a company, a brand and a movement. Redefining Esquire was founded out of a personal desire to redefine everything, but more specifically Sofia’s role in upholding outdated systems, ideologies and expectations. It is both an external offering and an internal exploration.
What Makes Us Different
Legal services have traditionally been linear, outdated and conservative – valuing the bottom line often at the expense of creativity. Just like you shouldn’t ask for a standard agreement you shouldn’t ask for a standard lawyer. SOFIA refers to herself as an “Esquire” instead of lawyer or attorney because she thinks it better articulates her holistic approach to working with creatives. Esquire is often used to describe a lawyer or attorney, but occasionally can be used to describe a poet or an artist. Sofia has the heart of a poet and the mind of a lawyer. This non-linear approach allows creatives space to protect, monetize, and amplify their creative expression.
